Designed to Embrace the Landscape
Savanna House was designed as a peaceful retreat where architecture and nature exist in harmony. Nestled on a farm and surrounded by scenic mountain views, the residence was carefully positioned to maximize its connection to the landscape. Large windows frame sweeping vistas while welcoming abundant morning sunlight into the primary living spaces. As the day progresses, warm evening light filters through the home, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere for everyday living.
Every design decision was guided by simplicity, comfort, and long-term sustainability. High clerestory windows introduce additional daylight deep into the interior, reducing reliance on artificial lighting while enhancing the home’s open, airy character. Solar orientation played a central role in the planning process, supporting the home’s off-grid lifestyle through solar energy and a private well. The result is a contemporary farmhouse that offers modern luxury while celebrating self-sufficiency, relaxation, and a lasting connection to the surrounding countryside.
