THE DESIGN
Elevated Living, Inspired by the Landscape
Ridge House was designed around a simple vision, to create a modern family home that fully embraces its remarkable setting. Working closely with the homeowners from the earliest stages, TKZ Architecture assisted with site selection and feasibility studies, ultimately helping identify the ideal property for their forever home. To maximize long-range views, the site was strategically raised by more than ten feet, allowing the residence to overlook a nearby pond beyond the existing tree line and establish a stronger connection to the surrounding Tennessee landscape.
Every major space within the home was planned to capture natural light and views. Expansive windows brighten the living areas, home offices, dining spaces, and wellness areas while reinforcing the connection between the interior and nature. Designed for both entertaining and everyday living, the residence includes a private motor court, four-car garage, home theater, private fitness room, outdoor living area with a fireplace and grill, and an attached gardening workshop with direct access to the rear garden. Accessible design principles were thoughtfully incorporated into one of the guest suites, ensuring the home remains welcoming and functional for family and guests for years to come.
