TKZ Architecture specializes in commercial, healthcare, government, religious and residential projects. We believe that understanding our clients is an important step in providing well-thought-out solutions. Our goal is to increase our client’s profitability, experience, and effectiveness by providing great architecture and great service.
We provide architecture and interior design services to Middle Tennessee. This includes Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Whitehouse, Lebanon, Murfreesboro, and the surrounding communities. We also provide design throughout the country and internationally on a case by case basis.

Taku Zhou, AIA, NCARB
Principal Architect
Mr. Taku Zhou is the founder and Principal Architect at TKZ Architecture LLC. With many years of experience, Mr. Zhou is a well-rounded designer familiar with different design typologies. His expertise is in building technology, life safety, code compliance, and architectural design. He strives to collaborate with clients in all phases of the project process to deliver great value and an exceptional project experience. Mr. Taku Zhou utilizes BIM (building information modeling) in his Architectural Practice, allowing clients to better understand the project in 3D. BIM also reduces project errors and improves design planning. Additionally, Mr. Zhou applies sustainable design philosophies to his Architectural projects.
Mr. Zhou has experience with complex government projects, advanced facilities, higher education, and commercial projects. He has worked with clients from organizations like the University of Michigan and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. This work included schematic layouts for a 51,413 sq. ft. Surgical Tower on the east coast of the United States. It also included renovation work on a 10,217 sq. ft. clinic with 15 exam rooms and 2 procedure rooms. Mr. Zhou has also conducted large government campus-wide assessments on the west coast of the United States. A believer in human-centered design, Mr. Zhou’s rigorous experience will ensure that your project is delivered successfully.
